Fishers of Men is a private, invitation-and-approval application for a Catholic men's fellowship. Membership is granted by the fellowship's leadership. By creating an account or posting content, you agree to these Terms of Use.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on this service. Content that violates these terms may be removed without notice, and accounts of members who post it, or who behave abusively toward other members, may be suspended or permanently removed from the fellowship at the leadership's discretion.
The app is intended for adults (18 years and older) who have been approved by the fellowship's leadership. Accounts are personal; do not share your account or sign in on behalf of another person.
You are responsible for everything you post — chat messages, thread replies, prayer requests, announcements, and photos. You keep ownership of what you write, and you grant the fellowship permission to display it to other approved members inside the app.
You may not post, share, or transmit content that:
You also may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, to other members' accounts, or to any part of the underlying systems, or use the app in a way that interferes with its normal operation.
Two tools are available to every member, and we ask you to use them:
Blocking is a personal setting for your own view. Reporting is what asks leadership to act.
The app checks content for prohibited language before it is posted and will refuse to post content that contains it. This check is a safeguard, not a guarantee — it cannot catch everything, and it does not replace your own responsibility for what you post or the leadership review described above.
The fellowship's moderators and administrators may remove any content and may suspend or remove any member's access, with or without prior notice, where they judge these terms to have been broken. Administrative actions are recorded in an internal audit log. Decisions about membership rest with the fellowship's leadership.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app. See the account deletion page for what is removed and for how to request deletion if you no longer have the app installed.
Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
The app is provided as-is for the use of the fellowship. It is operated on a voluntary basis and may be unavailable, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. Content posted by members represents the views of those members and not of the fellowship, its leadership, or any parish or diocese.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
For questions about these terms, or to raise a concern about another member's conduct, contact the app administrator at admin@catholicfishersofmen.org.
